Most of you simply don't understand or don't care why the individual athlete chooses to play for his or her school.
In the end, the only judgement that matters is the that of the player. It's their life and they should pursue their sport in a way they find most personally enjoyable and fulfilling in their life.
All the rest of you are just noise.

Have a look at the Oakwood commitments for the class of 2020 vs for CFC?
GDA has been around for a few years and these kids have been to at least two years of recruiting events. It's not working.
Clubs will all have their lists up during the NCAA signing period, you'll be able to see for yourself.

Hs forces the super deluxe "elites" with the elite bank accounts to mingle with the players of the common folks. The horror!! Bashing HS soccer is just code for snobby affluent folks to bash their lower income neighbors.

High School Soccer is awful.
90% of coaches should not be coaching. They are afraid to loose so they kick and run. Never willing to take the chance and try and develop the players and a respectable style of play. The really bad ones take a football type approach and try to encourage excessive physical contact to take the other teams best players out of the game.
The referee’s are a disgrace. The 2 man system does not work worth a damn. A bunch of them are retired men with big guts who can hardly move. How did they ever pass a fitness test? Do they never make them retake it? They also turn a blind eye to the excessive physical contact forcing real players into hand to hand combat for their lives.
I assume they do a 2 man system to save money however they pay each referee $100. That’s $200 for a game. A 3 man system for high school age games in the DA and ECNL is almost the same cost. So not really saving money but provide an inferior product.
High School is just bad rec soccer. Not the kids fault. The adults are to blame. From coaches to Reffs to CIAC.

^not really sure how much you think coaches can change the HS game. Not all are club coaches. Their stipend for the amount of time put in is a joke. Many schools can't afford assistant coaches so booster clubs have to raise money for that or find someone young looking for experience to volunteer. The lucky ones are in a district with a decent number of club players but that's not very common. Coaches have to work with a few club players, some kids who played travel and some athletic studs. They don't make the schedules, which btw doesn't help with development because there's less time for training.
And so what if it's poor quality? Most sports at most schools are poor quality. The purpose of school sports isn't to make your kid a better soccer player. It's to build community and to keep kids active and engaged. All you soccer snobs need to get the sticks out of your collective asses. Either have your kids play DA or accept HS for what it is. Try and enjoy the season and watching your kid play. Keep your snarky comments about other players to yourselves. Unless the coach is doing something egregiously wrong, don't go complaining to the AD about him or her.
Yes, I just sat through a very painful game the other day. I get it. But club starts in November. Take big breaths. Your kids will graduate and be out of the house before you know it so take it all in.
