They have an interim coach idiot! The dyke left the cupboard there a week before the season was to start. Who does that? Obviously didn’t care about the players!

You don't just leave a job like that at college level this close to season. Something dodgy must have gone on. I don't buy that she left for another job. Who is hiring just before season begins? .... something smells fishy

          Possible answers

          - a great opportunity came up unexpectedly
          - something personal happened (illness or family crisis)
          - fired for poor performance, violating school rules, violating NCAA rules etc.

Naturally TS posters go straight for the last point

            2018 record: 4-10-2
            2017 record: 4-9-1
            2016 record: 3-11-2

Last time they had a winning record? 2011.

I would go for the last point to

Performance sure. Someone was implying something "fishy." But if it was performance the timing in the school's part is odd. Normally it comes end of season so there's time to fill the spot and there's many candidates available

If the coach cares about her players and the program this never happens! The interim coach can’t coach his way out of a paper bag. He was a volunteer assistant a couple of times and an assistant coach for two years. Do you really think that he is worth his salt when the previous universities wouldn’t pay him to coach?

It happens. Has happened in this case. Sounds like she had an opportunity that works well for her and her family.

You must have a kid on the team and are worried. Coaches leave for all kinds of reasons all the time.

No one expected the Colts QB to retire at age 29 two weeks before the season starts, leaving his coach and thousands of fantasy football players stunned...but it happened. Stuff happens.

She did nothing at Lynn but collect a check. Program was only as good as the kids showing up at the school. She did the minimum, and it shows. Are assistant has taken over the position and he is no better. So much potential at Lynn and it's wasted.

You are a retard! To compare a coach leaving during preseason as they prepare for the upcoming season to fantasy football...well, there are no words! The Indy quarterback has been injured and on painkillers for 4 years. He can't walk and is in pain. What in the world does that have to do with this situation? The coach and her wife left to go someplace else. Did she at least tell Lynn she was not happy or considering leaving? Nope! And now the program is left in shambles, not that it is any worse than when she arrived.

Some schools are ok with mediocre records. They don't put much of an effort into athletics, have an AD who phones it in or doesn't pay attention to more than 1-2 key sports.

As for potential? Not easy to recruit players to a school that is #100 regionally (not even on the national radar) and takes kids with 2.8 GPAs and 18 ACT. Good players that can leverage soccer to get into better schools will do that.
