The Oakwood 07s that were on the DA team would be the best players on that CFC United 07 team by a lot.

It makes sense that they would want to play up or find higher level of play.

The blatant self promotion of your own kid is truly a sight to behold.

Playing up is temporary and when the kids hit high school it’s pretty useless. The ECNL has the best kids in the region, choosing to not play in that environment is tough to comprehend.

Thankfully you have Oakwood because you’ve pretty much burned every other option in the state.

Wait, so after COVID and people most likely not coming back due to financial restraints and the club losing money due to players not returning, they're going to reject 2 good players because they burned a bridge...OK! If you say so...

You definitely don't know the guys who run it! With the exception of one or two, the best players in the state have run through CFCU over the last decade. Those guys are never going to let parents dictate terms. If you truly burned the bridge then you have to deal with that. FSA won't care but CFC is like the mafia.

A word to the wise, there are well documented stories of schools not recruiting kids or pulling their offers because of over the top parents. Time to tone it down and let your kid to the talking on the field, the rest will fall into line.

There is 1 superstar 07 staying at Oakwood. All the other minions are just average players. Nothing special. They will see what happens when they are playing in the ECNL against top teams. We will also see where the coach sees the new players by playing time and exposure to ecnl pdp events

Some clubs won't give offers if parents are truly intolerable or if there are concerns the players themselves will cause issues. As above pointed out college coaches also avoid troublesome parents. They have plenty of other fish in the sea to reel in.

Hopefully the parents of these two kids wise up as their kids get older. Some do finally get it by around high school age, when it's not too late. Some never do.

Two of this year's CFC seniors are kids that only played at CFC. They didn't play up in middle school or high school and were two of the most heavily recruited players in years. Both committed to full rides as 9th graders.

"Playing up" should be focused on player development. Would these two heavily recruited players be bettered prepared for college by playing against older players during their development years?

CFC does not play kids up because of the politics is causes with the parents and team harmony. Nothing to do with whether it would be good for the players development.
