It doesn't says anything in the Constitution about these specific restrictions. In fact, if the restrictions are reasonably designed to prevent some people from taking away OTHER people's Constitutional rights, they could be completely consistent with the Constitution.

Under the U.S. Constitution’s 10th Amendment and U.S. Supreme Court decisions over nearly 200 years, state governments have the primary authority to control the spread of dangerous diseases within their jurisdictions. The 10th Amendment, which gives states all powers not specifically given to the federal government, allows them the authority to take public health emergency actions, such as setting quarantines and business restrictions.

So they walked back the order on travel. Very sneaky. Make a huge splash and then dial it back while no one is looking. Travel outside of MA all you want, but quarantine when you come back.

I heard the same. Out of state players allowed to travel for games out of state. Quarantine or get tested when you go back to your state. Play on.

Do you have to quarantine if it was another New England co-op state (like CT) and it was less than 24 hours?

what about coaches, I assume they cannot be denied the right to work and segregated from other jobs.

I replied with the exact text of the order about day travel but it was flagged for moderation. Oh well.

What is going on with that? The posts aren't actually moderated and you weren't posting any controversial or political regardless.

The order changes so often it doesn’t even matter. When will people start getting fined?

Yes MA does not have a 24 hour rule, unless you meet one of the exceptions such as travel for work.

Rub and Tugs are still open in RI. I go over the border, come right back.

No one pays for IT. We pay for the luxury of leaving.
