I think the issue is more about bringing players in just for tournaments. We don't do that, but we do have a player who plays up an age group because she is that good. However, she will play with us when it doesn't conflict, and will practice at times too. She makes the team better, she makes the players better. She integrates with her teammates fine and is just part of the team (jokes and laughs like a young kid, plays equal minutes and whatever role she is asked to do.)

She is not a ringer just in for tournaments, though.

I'm an advocate of dual-rostering in the definition that you have players available on A and B teams. This helps to ensure full rosters for each game and allows for B players to get a taste when the opportunity presents itself.

The respondents are totally out of touch with what is meant by dual rostering.

The respondents are discussing what is properly known as a Club Pass. The player is a member of the club and can be moved within the rules of the league/tournament/competition freely between teams.

Dual Rostering means being rostered for two different independent clubs, e.g. NEP Club and Town Travel Club.

Such has been debated innumerable times in this forum.

The problems/challenges of the club pass are completely different than those involving dual rostered players.

So the thread started with (Title) Dual Rostering and question "Would like to hear the thoughts on both positive and negetive experiences if possible". No specifications by the OP to what dual rostering means, despite it meaning different things to different people. Yet you've decided that is what the OP meant because you're a mind reader, just like your namesake? Just checking.

Not a mind reader. There are specific rules under MYSA that reference Dual Rostering of players. There are specific references in the various league and states rules with respect to Dual/Multiple Rostering. The term has a specific meaning. Please read the governing rules of the league, state, and national organizations to which your children (and you by extension) are governed.
