If anyone is owed an apology, it is Lakeland FC and their President.
How did all the other clubs get it wrong? Did this tournament not use the FYSA age chart to determine age limits for teams?

Every other club used GotSoccer / FYSA to register the kids for Judges Cup. Lakeland decided they did not want to pay a registration fee for each kid to FYSA for this one Rec tournament. So, Lakeland did everything internally. And they made a mistake. I know some are saying the decision to not use GotSoccer by Lakeland was part of the conspiracy created to cheat the tournament. It is true that if Lakeland had used GotSoccer, the mistake would have been caught by the system. However, the club made a decision to save money. This is a perfectly reasonable decision. Further, FYSA and GotSoccer charging an $8 registration fee for each kid is crazy. That adds up to a lot of money, and all we are doing is entering info in their computer program. Lakeland did the registration on their own, without GotSoccer or FYSA, and a mistake was made. That is all that happened. Lakeland kids were the ones that suffered. They were the ones disqualified from the tournaments. It was a mistake. To say it was anything more than that is simply wrong.

Cheaters trying to justify their actions. Teams are made up by birth year, why is that confusing for Lakeland but not every other club in Florida?

I love it !! Is that you DC?
This is LFC at its best. There is always an excuse. Always some way to spin it. Now they registered every Rec team wrong, and had them all disqualified from Judges Cup, because they were trying to save us money. They were trying to spend parents money wisely, and oops that accidentally embarrassed the entire club and had all of our kids booted from Judges Cup. Nothing wrong here. Just trying to be smart.

I wonder if this is why LFC does so well at this tournament each year, have they always cheated... just a curious thought.

Maybe you should start by apologizing instead of continuing to make more excuses.

Now where would that extra 8 dollars per player that you saved go to? Does that get refunded since LFC never spent it? Why should LFC pocket this extra money, they could have lowered the fees by 8 dollars if that was their intention? You're just digging the hole deeper with more excuses.

Then who hired the administrator if that is the case? That seems like common sense!

Agree, where did the $8 go then? I'm sure the response will be great.

Are you new to soccer? How did you not know that everyone else switched to birth year. There were like 20 different threads about it on Talking Soccer. Wow that is a lame excuse.
