If anyone is owed an apology, it is Lakeland FC and their President.

It is true that if Lakeland had used GotSoccer, the mistake would have been caught by the system. However, the club made a decision to save money. This is a perfectly reasonable decision. Further, FYSA and GotSoccer charging an $8 registration fee for each kid is crazy. That adds up to a lot of money, and all we are doing is entering info in their computer program. Lakeland did the registration on their own, without GotSoccer or FYSA, and a mistake was made. That is all that happened. Lakeland kids were the ones that suffered. They were the ones disqualified from the tournaments. It was a mistake. To say it was anything more than that is simply wrong.

This is LFC at its best. There is always an excuse. Always some way to spin it. Now they registered every Rec team wrong, and had them all disqualified from Judges Cup, because they were trying to save us money. They were trying to spend parents money wisely, and oops that accidentally embarrassed the entire club and had all of our kids booted from Judges Cup. Nothing wrong here. Just trying to be smart.

I wonder if this is why LFC does so well at this tournament each year, have they always cheated... just a curious thought.

Now where would that extra 8 dollars per player that you saved go to? Does that get refunded since LFC never spent it? Why should LFC pocket this extra money, they could have lowered the fees by 8 dollars if that was their intention? You're just digging the hole deeper with more excuses.

Agree, where did the $8 go then? I'm sure the response will be great.

Are you new to soccer? How did you not know that everyone else switched to birth year. There were like 20 different threads about it on Talking Soccer. Wow that is a lame excuse.
