How come the older Thorns team is playing in U18 and not U19 then? Looks like playing down is going on...

The u19's bailed once they started getting thumped in scrimmages by the 02/01 team on a regular basis. Older team is a nonstarter but our 01's and 02's would run the table in the 99 bracket.

The 01 team would destroy both of the Ecnl teams easily.

99 thorns sums up what the thorns program had done. Not good.

You may be right. But how is thorns doing any better job of developing than ECNL? Thorns didn't develop those players. They stole them from their TA clubs and then set that team up to play against the former clubs. Do you not see the difference? Do you not see how poorly that has been received by those TA teams?

We are on a TA team and have friends on TA and ECNL teams. The TA clubs universally despise thorns and everything they have done and are doing. The families on ECNL clubs who are not doing ECNL seem more or less indifferent. They don't feel scammed or used and they aren't being forced to play against the ECNL teams. Again - do you not see the difference? That 01/02 thorns team might be good enough to "destroy" the two ECNL teams. But we will never know because the thorns team chose to play OYSA, Vegas and Beaverton. No one - NO ONE - respects sandbagging.

Lets set the record straight. U18 bracket is for 99 birth year. There are a handful of 99s on Thorns 99/00 team but the majority of roster is 00s and 01s. So call it what you want but most girls are playing up. Some by 1 year and others by 2 years. Yes some are playing on age. No playing down. Lets stop the spreading of mis information please.
