There is no more team, just a few still playing the game and a still smaller number will follow.

They still play an incredible game of soccer and other teams fear them. They are 5th and still have a chance to make the playoffs but unfortunately only 2 teams make the playoffs in the U18 age group so it will be difficult. They are likely to finish 3rd-5th.

U17s- They are in PRIME position. They are in 4th place and have the easiest schedule left of any team in their age group within the conference. Their remaining games are against (2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 6th, 7th, 7th, and 8th). They play 5/8 games against teams below 0.500. They are only going to move up and will likely finish 2nd or 3rd in their conference.

U16- This team is a mess that I do not ONLY blame on the club. This team has a ton of adversity for many reasons but the biggest problem is the parents because although it is the club's fault for taking 26 players/mixing of two high level teams the parents could have taken a different approach then they did. Instead of rallying around the kids, the parents got negative which I am certain they brought up in front of their own kids making things worse for this team. Instead of being positive and supportive they have turned negative and I am certain it has hurt the team. The team has injuries on top of everything else. The team is currently 7th and this team has the ability to mainly control its own destiny because they play the top 4 teams in the 5/8 games they have left. They can make the playoffs but with the parents attitudes its seeping into the team and making things worse. The funny thing to me is that VI is NEVER coming back no matter how bad things get so the attitude of the parents completely befuddles me.

U15 Currently 6th with games remaining against (1st, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 7th, 8th, 8th). They are definitely going to move up and will likely finish higher then they did last year. I think they will make the playoffs but they are a bit schizophrenic as a team. I think they have amazing ability and are equal to or better then anyone in their age group but they do not believe it yet. They will either finish 4th or 5th.

          U14s Currently 3rd.
This team is doing well but very injured and will likely not finish higher then 3rd because the top 2 teams in this age group are way out in front of the competition much like the GSA U17 team. They will likely not make the playoffs because like the U18 age group ONLY the top 2 teams can make the playoffs.

The factors that people need to keep in mind is that our travel partner sucks this year so instead of teams that we play having two "tough" games each weekend they have 1 easy game and then play us. So while we are bashed and bruised in the first game we then have to turn around and play a team that did not have as hard of a time from the day before.

The schedule has been a bit uneven with our club playing a large share of its most difficult games in the beginning of the season. For U15-U18 we have 8 games left to play each. For the U15, U17 and U18 13/24 of the games are against 6th place teams or worse. We also have not played our travel partner like everyone else in the conference has and our travel partner has a total of 4 wins in 40 games of which 2/4 wins come from the U14 team for that club.

          My prediction:

U18 3rd or 4th (even with last years finish)
U17 2nd or 3rd (Ahead of last years finish by ALOT)
U16 4th-6th (will finish worse unless they circle the wagons and the parents quit the BS)
U15 4th or 5th (even or better then last year good chance for top flight of playoffs)
U14 3rd or 4th (should finish 3rd and likely will not finish higher then that)
The 18s not so happy! Our team went to nationals last year and now we may make playoffs. Come on let's call a spade a spade. It's not just a little bad luck coming our way. The new training and coaching decisions are having profound effects. We can't believe it has all come to this. VSI should be ashamed with what they have done.

Prediction above by the poor fellow getting paid at club wants us all to believe that we all need to suck up to the new boys and then we will all come out on top. We could all sing camp fire songs together and it still would not fix all the problems this club has. The above comments in his post are lots of excuses and pipe dreams. We are all bright free thinking people with a clear view.

One of the starters was injured this past summer with an ACL tear. She is out all season. Not sure when she will be able to play.

No offense but it's also very significant that you lost a national pool player who scored over 60% of your goals. You have lost all your games by one goal. It was bad luck that JS went down but your situation primarily comes from that. Nobody can finish. Dominating game after game but unable to finish. That has nothing to do with coaching it's called bad stinking luck for her and you.

How is she a starter when she's never made a practice this year? Oh right another LFC buddy of GS's daughter.

The club performance is better. Facts are facts. Kinda sucks whining when the facts don't support you.

How is she a starter? She has not even played yet. The team has lots of talent. Stand in line. Everyone thinks she is a starter. She will just be starting to play with the team. We will see where she falls when she comes to the team.

We all know there are two girls on this team that GS will make everything fall into place how they and thier buds want it.

Another excuse by coaches. Last year many girls scored and often. It's not because one girls is not there scoring. Anyone who knows this team knows lots of girls can score. Coach and train them to win. You coaches need to fix something train and make it happen.
