Yes it is. This desire to define stud as any decent D1 player is self serving and symptomatic of the con job that is Club soccer. The desire to make every parent believe their kid is the goods for as long as possible.

if parents were realistic, the business of youth sports would be a fraction of its current size and Coaches/clubs would actually have to earn their money. Instead job 1 is catering to the majority of parent egos.

There are very few studs. A stud influences games they play in at the highest level. Just suiting up does not count. there is a big gap between good and stud.

I’m sure Wisconsin considered her a stud given she started every game and they went deep in the tournament. Definitely an impact player for them which is the measurement. We will see what happens at va but defenders are rarely subbed anyhow. Not sure what OP’s point is. To me, Wisconsin and Bc are similar.

did not attend wisconsin, but again, no need for facts eh? a stud is not a relative measure. thats the key to so much of this club koolaid. if you create multiple levels , then every kid is a stud at one of them.

ok, they beat FSU at home with a little help from the referee in spite of being out played for long stretches. That aside, they have struggled vs every half decent team they have played. BC are

- tough
- physical
- hard to score on

Yes, they can beat anyone, but they are not a team that is going to dominate good competition in open play. They are a set piece, defend and counter team. With luck, they will do ok.

I can see them having a decent run in ACC or NCAA but prob not both

Last week
Central CT in first place in the Northeast Conference
Hartford lost to Stony Brook and ended tied for 1st in America East
BC lost to NC and Duke last week. Not quite ready for National title but still the top team in New England and top 25 in country.
BU 6-0-2 last 8 games plays for the Patriot league title against Colgate
Northeastern finished 2nd in Colonial and gets a bye to the conference tournament semifinal.
Harvard must win out and get some luck to win Ivy League
Not sure what happened to Providence. After a strong start they have struggled in Big East regular season finishing with a 3-3-2 record yet still have a respectible RPI. They are on the Bubble for an NCAA at-large bid.
