The Oregon TS thread says that Oregon GDA players can and have been allowed to leave their GDA team to play public high school soccer and then return to play on their GDA team. Is this true in other states as well? The main reason my dd didn’t do GDA was because she wanted to play high school soccer and we thought GDA didn’t allow hs soccer. Is USSF allowing some states to play public high school soccer?

They did not change the rules. Some clubs are looking the other way and letting some do both then hope they don't get busted for it (and really USSF is looking the other way with GDA as well. They're too busy trying to keep it alive).

Good time to hit up your Florida GDA club for "special permission."

The ones that are still in the DA are over the HS experience and aren't interested.

Then they reversed course the second season and went with the requirements already in place for the boys, must have a waiver from their school saying the money received is related to playing soccer at school. However, FHAA does not allow schools to do this and compete for HS championships. So pretty much no school would put this in writing.
