Armada has some of the worst A licenses coaches. Pat is one of them. No need to justify. Ironically, the A license coaches have DA teams! Great Job USSF!

Of course no licensure is a guarantee of good coaching. But it is an indication of commitment and exposure to various training techniques. After that its up to the individual to apply what they've learned to training and game situations. Some aren't good at the application part, or are poor at adjusting as needed (too rigid). Then there's things you don't learn in a classroom like connecting with players, motivating them. Again some coaches can't do that and a few shouldn't have anything to do with children at all. Other lower level coaches are fantastic but for many reasons have gotten their higher licenses. It's a time consuming and costly process. Many have other jobs and no one is making decent money in coaching (club owners do).

The issue or question that people are raising is USSF A a quality training program relative to UEFA A? If it isn't then its garbage in, garbage out.

Our club has a few, even the good ones seem like one poster above has said "indoctrinated" they coach the method of US mens soccer. We see what that looks like on the national stage.

Have met one that seems like a good guy and genuinely cares about the game, the kids, etc.

Any of the others I have met are egomaniac jackasses that think they are gods gift to the game just because they have had the time to sit for the extra "training"

To be fair most of them are decent coaches as far as results go when measured against other garbage florida coaches.

And the cycle goes on and on. No need to hate on Armada. Just deal with your own coaches sucking and needing to be taught how to coach by the clueless themselves so FESA can send pictures like they are doing something special. Lots of volt lipstick. The A licensed coaches often want to be the alpha and move on until they can be the alpha. The full time career coaches with the higher licenses take higher pay to keep and they often want to move to be a higher dog.
