Second and almost as important (LUCK and a COACH THAT BELIEVES IN THEM)
Third, (CRAZY ATHLETIC ABILITY in the FORM OF QUICKNESS)
Fourth (COCKINESS and MEAN SPIRIT ON THE FIELD)
FIFTH (SINGLE FOCUS ON SOCCER AND NOTHING ELSE)


IF a kid has all of these there is a possible chance he could become something. Without these, might as well stick with golf.

I realize that this post is sarcasm / tongue in cheek, but it’s not a bad list.

I would simplify it though.

1) great genetics...won’t argue. Helps with everything
2) single focus on soccer....the rest of your list will fall in line because:
—————-a) coaches will love players like this and player / coach will make their own luck
—————-b) cockiness comes with success and knowing your better than everyone
3) crazy athletic ability and quickness come from #1 and is developed through #2.

Where do I start...

For your kid to get ahead maybe you should coach. The coaches kids normally suck but they stay on the team, and start. She can even play center mid. If the team sucks just bring in guest players around her.

I would add an ability to do everything you need to do on the pitch well with both feet. If your tendency is to always use your dominate foot or to try and get the ball on that foot, your are limited in what you can do.
