Remember this?
CBS REPORTER: "So to be clear, Mr. Trump has no financial relationships with any Russian oligarchs?"
MANAFORT: “That’s what he said, that’s what I said. That’s obviously what the, what our position is.”

This doesn't mean the story is either true or false. It still could be either.
He failed horribly when it comes to the journalistic process. He did no favors to the profession, especially with Trump screaming "fake news" in every other tweet.

Faux has had countless fictional tales but when they're called out on it they just pretend it never happened and drop the topic. There certainly is a mountain of dirty business with Trump, Russia, DB, Panamanian accounts also. No tax returns either.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostMSNBC knew exactly what they were doing. They are the anti-Trump network. Just put it out there and let the chips fall. That’s what Trump does. The hypocrisy here is undeniable. They really hurt themselves again and played right into Trumps hands. Very sad.
The main difference I see is that O'Donnell came clean with a retraction and apology. How often do we get that from the "some people are saying" crowd at Fox News and the like? Their sourcing practices and media ethics have been controversial from the start.
So if you mean the hypocrisy in blasting MSNBC while not holding Fox to the same journalistic standards, I see your point.

US spies say Trump's G7 performance suggests he's either a 'Russian asset' or a 'useful idiot' for Putin:
https://www.businessinsider.com/spie...n-asset-2019-8
"It's hard to see the bar anymore since it's been pushed so far down the last few years, but President Trump's behavior over the weekend was a new low," one FBI agent who works in counterintelligence told Insider."
"At the summit, Trump aggressively lobbied for Russia to be readmitted into the G7, refused to hold it accountable for violating international law, blamed former President Barack Obama for Russia's annexation of Crimea, and expressed sympathy for Russian President Vladimir Putin."
"One former senior Justice Department official, who worked closely with the former special counsel Robert Mueller when he was the FBI director, told Insider Trump's behavior was "directly out of the Putin playbook. We have a Russian asset sitting in the Oval Office."
"A recently retired FBI special agent told Insider that Trump's freewheeling and often unfounded statements make it more likely that he's a "useful idiot" for the Russians. But "it would not surprise me in the least if the Russians had at least one asset in Trump's inner circle."

Russian asset or useful idiot?
Trump supporters, please explain this. Both parties oppose this move:
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/...russia-1689531
"The White House explanation that Trump wants to ensure the money is being spent properly isn’t sitting well with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, where members of both parties have pushed to increase military assistance to Ukraine and U.S. military efforts to deter Russia in Eastern Europe."
"There is "an at least temporary effect," said Rep. Tom Malinowski, a New Jersey Democrat who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. "The bigger problem is that Trump is once again showing himself to be an asset to Russia.”

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWhat news source has to make the most apologies for fake, unsourced, or unsubstantiated, or unfounded news? Exactly. The hypocrisy is so blatant. You blame Trump for the very same thing MSNBC did and continues to do. You can only apologize so much before the folks see right through the Liberal crap. CNN pulled to same stunt a few nights before. You guys think Trump has lost credibility, you better take a good long look in the mirror. Don't believe me, check out the latest poll numbers for the leaders (The Squad) of your party. Not looking good!
No, I don't blame Trump for the same thing MSNBC did because he is not a journalist. I blame him for a lot of misdeeds, but reporting on a thinly sourced story is not one of them because that is not what he does. False equivalence there.
Trump has not lost credibility. He's never had it in the first place. He has a track record of grandiosity and pathological lying that goes back decades.
The Squad are not party leaders, they have not been in office nearly long enough to rate that designation.
You will have to cite the polls you are referring to rather than regurgitate a talking point someone put in your head. "We know of no credible polls that show Ocasio-Cortez or Omar have such low approval ratings now in their respective districts or in their overall popularity in the country." https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/il...d-aoc-polling/
