It's okay, but there's a three blonde minimum.

Does your kid know how to play, can they be an interchangeable part on any team they might play on, are they versatile, do they understand the role of each position, and the list goes on.

I'm not an OW Dad or Coach. I do coach against them often on the Ulittle level and I will tell you they don't care about winning. They want you to high press, they want you to step to the ball... it's how they get better. Being able to build under pressure is what it's all about and it's something we teach too.

We should all relax about results and put the kids in position to learn, to adapt, to share the ball and they will keep developing. Ultimately they may have barriers like strength on the ball, speed in open spaces, etc that may limit their ability to get to top levels. Generally it's the kids that check the box in all four quadrants that excel at the highest levels.

OW kids are max touching the ball, facing all different directions. They might get 100 touches on the ball (75% under pressure) where as if you are playing only to win and being direct... your flanks aren't touching the ball and your big kid up top is chasing after it. Not the best way to develop skill and soccer iq.

Okay now - carry on. I'm not a huge fan of OW but can appreciate what they are trying to do.
      where do you coach?

Exactly THIS year they are playing ECNL. In the spring when they qualified for the team they were both GDA.

Several NT players didn't go to GDA, nor did those Stars players stay in GDA once the club went ECNL. You don't think a GDA club would have happily taken them?

Who cares. Follow your own path. Go where your kid develops and maybe where you can too

Here’s a newsflash for YOU. GDA is DOA up here. Remaining kids putting out the lights on this experiment. Lots left for HS this year and many more to follow

NEFC U18/19’s were #1 in northeast I think undefeated winning games by 7 then go to Florida and play decent teams 0-3. That just proved how bad the northeast DA is.

Only Fury did well; NYCFC had a very mixed performance. Notice how OW hasn't been on here even trying to turn a stinking pile of dung into a rose? There's no covering it up.

YES!!! Lets just keep hammering out that DA sucks and OW doesn't play any tough competition from CFC and FSA folks that are at the bottom of the barrel in ECNL!! Lets settle this here on TS! Let me throw out a bunch of stats and standings from dads that want it more in child/adolescent soccer than the players themselves.

CFC doesn't get embarrassed at the National events they attend.

Neither does FSA. Undefeated last year in Champions league and came home with the Trophy in the North America Cup.

Let's not get over our Ski's here. North America Cup is best of the rest.

And 99% of the time, FSA does mediocre against bottom of barrel ECNL teams at showcases. Just to be fair, most CFCU teams are just a shade better than FSA, but not by much.

Cfc has 3 teams better, two the same. But it's just another shade of gray

CFC is soooo superior that they never get embarrassed.
