Elite talent does not occupy any space in Oregon. This is why average girls are attracted to a club in a travel league setup. No talent required just the ability to pay + the can play JV HS Soccer. It's a win-win.

This is like a Presidential race, some markets are going one direction, other markets are going another. Right now, its down to two candidates for the presidency. ECNL is winning in some areas but not in the NW and not in N. Cal. The best talent in Seattle and N. Cal is at GDA....Portland has yet to consolidate and every team (ECNL and GDA) has a few anchors. I attribute this mostly to leadership and no matter where I look, there's a lack of it. So, sit tight and wait for the sales pitch...3...2....1

Top teams in the country are ECNL.

Team that won GDA last year moved up to ECNL.

Why does gda try to ban high school? Why limit yourself so much?

A guy with a British accent and old school Diadora sweatpants declared in a board room they needed to. And so it was done.

Now that guy is no where to be found and someone else gets to clean up the mess. #sloppyjoesonthewhitecarpet

                      high school

Ban high school, don't ban high school soccer

Seem's like the ECNL'ers call high school rec soccer, but really don't want to give it up.

This is what I get out of it. ECNL is an exclusive club national league for the rich. It is an controlled environment with small leagues, only 4 teams last year in the NW. Worst you could do was 4th. Outside of the exclusive club national league they only want to play high school soccer because it is rec'ish and they can shine for the most part and if they don't they can blame everyone else.

This is why you never get white carpet. And never listen to a guy in diadora tight soft pants.

US Soccer likely realizes the big mistake they made in regards to high school. Being stubborn in regards to this might not help in the long run.

US Soccer is following its boys DA model. In a 10 month national format so they can’t have high school soccer since everyone has different high school seasons.
