Seen little of this from where I sit. Been paying attention to the teams in our division that were having tryouts / announcing open spots. Few spots (2-3) available on these elite level teams. Many of these clubs found kids / parents quick to re-up with last year's club, leaving not many openings. Less movement than typical, but not by any means wide open rosters.

The other poster is somewhat correct, certain clubs like PSA Wildcats, PDA Shore and CSA Monmouth seem to cannibalize each other and therefore all 3 are not successful and not able to attract many quality players. The addition of Matchfit Shore will only make things worse in these parts. Would be great to have 2 clubs instead of 4 in this area...

But honestly not dif than PDA Shore and some of their players have shown interest so tells you the environment is similar, players looking to jump from place to place constantly. At least the facilities and training are better at CSA, hopefully the players will follow.

Some clubs do a very good job on the business/marketing side. Some just deliver quality teams at every age group which gives them a leg up on the competition. Good coaches are hard to find and even harder to replace.
Teams struggling to fill out their team probably have multiples issues with some of the above. Many clubs with multiple teams with always be on the lookout for talent. STA comes to mind on usually continuing to advertise open spots, but they pack their teams with players as do many clubs but they have up to 3-4 per age group which means they are usually looking for more.
PDA usually has tryouts late...and many clubs invited everyone back and now just trying to fill out holes.
Some clubs imploded due to covid see Centrecourt as example...
Premier town clubs had to wait and see what happened at larger clubs so they have been adding as well like Parsippany, West Morris up north...
And then you have the crazy parent syndrome where they organize the whole team to defect leaving the big club with a huge void...I think this happened to CSA in monmouth at a younger age group.

Crazy parent syndrome is rife. See the odd posts from the parent desperate to see the EDP futures schedule. Clearly left a club and looking to see if they can play their ex club. Clinical behavior.
