Isn’t one keeper risky? Not to mention bad for development and training? I think 18 including 2 keepers is ideal.

Yes, ideally 2 keepers would be great, but our club couldn’t find a second one who was good enough to add to our roster, so we went with 1.

Not sure why only having 1 would be bad for development?

No one to challenge the current keeper, every other player has someone who can swoop in and take their spot. No one to warm up with, discuss gk stuff. Sort of isolating to be the only one. Plus entering a college team with 3 keepers feels uncomfortable

As acknowledged, would have been great to have a 2nd GK on the roster, but if you can't find a good one to be back-up, it was probably better to not take on a less-capable GK. For training, she attended the club's GK training in addition to regular practices. Also, we did have a defender who was a former GK who acted as our backup there, but only needed to do that once all year.

As far as we could tell, the GK enjoyed being on the team and didn't find it so isolating. And her parents were happy that she didn't have to split game-time with someone else.

Seriously, 26 and 32!? That’s gotta be a joke or a club who’s totally lying to its parents. That’s incredible. These kids must play on town travel teams as well, how the he’ll do you get adequate playing time when you can’t even go to the game unless you are in the stands!

It’s possible that they put players on both ECNL and ECRL rosters to make it easier in the league system (TGS) for players to move between the teams. When the rosters are published, see if some names appear on both teams.

That is not the case here. Our daughter is on the team and the numbers are accurate. We were definitely lied to from the coaches about roster size

That's outrageous. Figure, like any team, there's going to 5-6 who rarely come out. That leaves 20 players to fight over the rest? People pay money for that? I get if the club lied to you so they can get the extra cash, but who in their right mind would willingly pay for that?
