Who said they were good enough for NYCFC? No one. But BS losing players to HA is semi credible. Not many would make the drive but some would. Even OW gets some FC kids.

First of all, it’s like an hour drive from Westport. Big deal, if it makes sense for them then they’ll do it. Second of all, you make it out like it’s an either-or choice between NYCFC and Hartford Athletic. You do realize that not everyone is capable of playing at NYCFC right?

NYCFC isn't half the club they think they are. All of their players came from either Beachside or somewhere else. They have only started to develop players at younger ages, and they are doing more releasing than developing.

There are many players at Beachside that are better than players at NYCFC. Its a pro academy, but that is all it has going for it. Its a Beachside is a CLUB, you feel like you are a part of something, not a place where you feel like you can get cut if you can't make a training session.

NYCFC is the worst thing to have happened to youth soccer in our area. Beachside started it, and they will finish it.

IF a player had both options, they're not picking HA. Being a bench warmer on an MLS team (with deep financial pockets) will get you much better training, competition and exposure than a very shaky USL HA.

BS cut bunch of 2003 players right before prime recruiting time. Dbags move by this club. U must be new parent.

MLS clubs are trying to find pro players, not develop other players that aren't of interest. The system has also jettisoned younger age groups. It's very much up or out. NYFFC has signed a number of homegrowns in not many years of existence
