Parents of kids on any of the local DAP teams are fools chasing windmills. It should be ADAP.
Anti Development Academy Program. They take in talented kids and do little to nothing to advance their skills. None of you are going to say it, but you know you watch from the sideline thinking the same thing. Technical training in this country is virtually non-existent. And without that foundation, and it's constant growth, kids here aren't going anywhere special in the world of soccer.

Still beats the other clubs. My son has improved, and we are lucky to have three competitive clubs in the area. Don't knock it if your kid hasn't tried it.

If that's what you want - improvement - you might be able to get that elsewhere. It isn't where to reach his full potential. DA is turning into a factory turning out robots

Sorry you feel that way. I haven't seen any robots on his team, but we appreciate the tip.

Looks like CALVIN was in on 3 of the first half goals by the looks of the game highlights. He played for he 18's all year but man he looked like he struggled in this game. I would expect better from this kid.
TF too- two goals allowed by him and both goals should have been easy defending for an average defender. Hard to believe he's in the national team pool. CA and OY had bad days as well.

You watch other kids play and then trash them?! You must have quite a life.

The entire team was outclassed by Sporting Kansas. They gave them a clinic.
As a new englander this game was embarrassing to watch . It's not like we didn't play hard we did. The SK team was a level above.

This is from TopDrawerSoccer...Burns - Pure nepotism or is this kid really good enough to make such a rankings list?

In addition to the IMG Academy 150 update, we will update the regional rankings as well throughout the next couple of weeks. Some of the players to be added include Kings Hammer Academy midfielder Michael Wampler, BW Gottschee goalkeeper Marcus Peterkin, Empire United outside back Kyle Hofschneider, New England Revolution midfielder Trevor Burns, San Diego Surf forward Michael Scavuzzo and many, many more.

Absolutely not good enough. What total BS.

Why does this surprise anyone? Of course "dad" is going to promote his own son in any way possible. I am amazed that he has not had a national team camp call up yet. This is probably coming soon. Every other player at the Revs seems to get these calls yet all you have to do is watch the U16 game vs. KC online to see how awesome some of these talents are in action. Burns may be able to promote his kid now but college coaches know better and will not fall for this when the time comes. Then again maybe he will just skip college and become one of the next home grown signings. He can get paid to watch games like ZH.

ZH made a good play to set up winning goal vs. Cosmos last night. And TB is a good player. Elite, no. But good and solid with the ball. But my take on these players and probably most Revs players are that they are players who have worked with skilled adults since a very young age and now what you see is what you get. I'm guessing other teams are much, much better than the Revs at finding and teaching players who have not grown up around the game but are very coachable, hungry, and better athletes with a much bigger upside during these 'development' years.

Or maybe other teams are just better at developing players, period. We're not lacking for talent in the area. The Revs performance this season was pretty lame considering some of the competition. As an MLS team they should be on top.

...and the Revs are just flat out not that good at development. So 4 years after any player joins the Revs, they really aren't much better. Maybe even relatively worse than if they were with another team.
