As one might imagine, when you call that sort of attention to yourself and then you stumble, it's only natural to expect some sort of commentary. Free flights and free hotel. Rental car was less than $200. Food was expensive, but lots of fun Mexican options. Had 2 good games and 1 bad one. Great experience - much better than SC was last year. A little planning makes this all pretty manageable. Sorry that you're unable to plan ahead and manage things for your kid; you should stay right where you are.

Last weekend was just the appetizer for what is coming to them out in Seattle except more teams will be going for longer. Much bigger waste of cash. Wonder what the story is going to be when they go 0 fer then? Reality and panic surely must be settling in.

It's a long time before tryouts begin. Is it really time for the annual "bash Stars any way possible so that our best players don't defect" fest already? It feels a little earlier than usual this year. Did you get the calendar wrong, or are things getting a little panicky over there? Last year's strategy involved the usual old fashioned coach/parent/ECNL/expense bashing, along with the new tactics regarding HS play and the new Stars complex. Those didn't work at all. Are you stuck without a good strategy this year?
