Did the cavaliers actually defeat the crusaders or am I reading that wrong?

If they could relegate them to Maple Blue they would, but Maple doesn't want their teams to get slaughtered.

Aztec, they finished 6th and Bayside FC 3rd, yet they were placed in the top divsion??? My team is new to NEP, Maple at least we understood the system.

This is the NPL it's not a promotion/relegation system it's filled by member clubs and the npl is newly affiliated with the nep on the boys side. Also, aztec is a very different team this year, they'll be surprising.

How is it decided then?? Reguardless if it is a new team, how do they get moved up??$$$ Most teams are different from season to season, especially at this age . Most players are looking for a high level to play at, especially if they are considering playing in college.

Nope, you read it right. And the score was actually closer than the game was... Crusaders were totally outplayed.

This is why NEP exists. So that teams like Aztec, Stars, WUP, Bayside etc... can market based on playing in a high division without ever earning it.

There are about 6-8 high level teams in this age group and they are all going to be divided among several leagues (NEP - Scorpions, GPS, NEFC, CSU; Maple - Nor easter, AVSC; Region 1 - Spartans)

This must be what is best for the kids...

Brand new to NEP and already complaining? Great.... Ask your coach if it's too late to head back to MAPLE.

GPS South (Crusaders) were decimated in the offseason because they lost most likely 7-10 of their best players as they were placed onto the GPS NPL team. The North (Knights) and Boston (Bulldogs) also lost their top players as well to fill out the NPL team.

On paper the NPL team should be pretty good.

How does it feel for the rest 12-8 players of the GPS South (Crusaders)? Were they notified of this before signing their contracts?
