There are many juniors in the 03 age group.

Correct! Colleges aren’t going to commit to many players that haven’t visited the campus. The majority of 2021 recruiting is happing right now.

You do know that you're making excuses and avoiding the fact that your 03 ECNL team sucks too right? All the major and mid major D1 college programs have extended offers to 03 players already. Excuses excuses. But hey....you keep that same energy this time next year when little Olivia still hasn't committed.

The complete process changed when the rules changed. You can’t compare the 2002 to the 2003

Riiiighhhhtttt! Hope you sleep better telling yourself that. If that's what your club is telling you then go right ahead and believe it.

              Find I'll compare Texas c/o 2021 to Florida c/o 2021.

You can still visit the campus as a sophomore and attend id camps. You just can't have 'contact" with the coaches.

Fact: There are 1972 (self reported) 2021 commits listed on TopDrawer which means there are many more that will report later or never report. The rule changes have had a minimal effect on commitments.

Fact: WFF as a club is a dumpster fire, so none of the rule changes affect anything going on there. Sadly for those girls, unless the parents wake up, it's a lost cause.

Fact: TBU 03s could and should have several more commits at this stage but the team is simply not very good (especially compared to some other age groups). As a result they are less seen by coaches and thus less opportunities to commit.

Opinion: I think several of the TBU 03s will eventually commit. They will not only be seen again at showcases like Sanford and Houston, but the TBU coaching staff is excellent at promoting the players. The programs they commit to might not be as strong as previous years, but the opportunity to play soccer in college will happen for many of them.

Great point...Thats the difference between a club that has good connections with College coaches and the ones that dont. When you have actual active college coaches in the club that only helps the players get exposure. Do the flamers have anything remotely close to that? YY has a great relationship with the local Brandon YMCA so Im sure he can pull some strings for you flamers..See you at tryouts but just remember dont be mad when your player can only make the 3rd team..I know it will be a shock but hey its better than being a flamer...

AGREED: The rule changes have had a minimal effect on commitments.

AGREED: TBU 03s simply are not very good ESPECIALLY when compared to the previous TBU age groups before them. That doesn't mean TBU sucks. It just means that age group isn't very good.

AGREED: WFF is a dumpster fire and will lose GDA. No pity for the parents that stayed this year.

Opinion.... It'll be interesting to see which schools and how many of the 03 girls commit to colleges. I guess we'll see how good those TBU connections are with college coaches are at this time next year. Regardless TBU will have more than commits then WFF and any other local club. I wouldn't be shocked if Celtic or Charges have more 03 commits than WFF.

Amazed that people think these 2003 teams are on the same level! Lets get the four teams together for a quick tournament and end this bull**** debate!

Don't worry about tbu connections. All of the 03's will be getting offer soon.

Surely those ECNL 03 commitments will be coming in after the Disney Showcase. Right?

Once Bryn Mar, Mars Hill, and UMass-Lowell realize the local girls won’t go to their school, they’ll call their TBU buddies for warm bodies to go up to those schools for a year. At that point, the players realize that accepting a scholarship for the sake of accepting a scholarship isn’t worth it and they will transfer back to an in-state Florida school to be with friends and to be closer to home and give up the game. Happens every year. It’s next-level TBU trophy hunting.
