7 years and you still couldn't get it right ! What do you expect? The real surprise is it took them that long to clean house.

And to all the posters on here trying to confuse the current MV issue with their past gripes regarding OCDA roster selection, playing time decisions, and normal coaching personnel changes -- you are just misguided.
You may have liked Lowry or Shaw and wished they stayed, or have criticism of Gb or Cm training, or disagreed with DA player selection by DP/JN/Scottish coaches etc. But no matter what opinion you had in the past you should hate this DA move to MV because it is 100% against the development of top youth talent in central Florida and horrible business move for a pro team that needs the fan support of the local soccer community.
just watch: within 6 months OCDA at MV will be seen as irrelevant to top tier US DA teams and a joke among national DA community of coaching and scouts -- and that's will led to loss of opportunity for a great local talent pool

Very sad if true. Guess we will find out soon enough.
If true, I bet it the beginning of the end for the Brazilian. This type of mismanagement will extend to other parts of the franchise and you'll see failure or sale.

yes, this season results are lagging for 17s but 19s and 15s are solid and capable of more.
But lack of leadership and resources has held these groups back -- lack of fields, lack of plan or direction from an involved DA director and no job security for coaches
recruiting for 2001 and 2002 classes has been hurt by all coaching changes last 2 years (KN here then gone, Scot here then gone, etc.)
about player quality and development, which is whole point of DA, 2000 class is very strong, 2001s have 3-4, and new 2002s have a few that look promising
not top of MLS table (LAG/NYRB/FCD), but far from a joke

Here is a college coach perspective when I asked him about MV.
Yes they win a lot of games!
Most kids recruited to college are kids that were recruited at age 16 or 17 that already have talent and are brought in for placement purposes.
SIMA does not develop good players. they recruit good players.
Hard for a kid in the of Brazilian Favela and the Kibera of Africa to turn down this opportunity

and winning HS matches 8-0 does not develop players. but it helps foreign athletes come to attention of scouts.
Like all boarding schools with some kids paying in full and some on scholarship, MV is essentially a scheme to finance the cost of importing foreign players on scholarship and obtain visas for them. From his days at Clemson, the Director there knows how to recruit from abroad and sell the college scholarship/pro dream.
But USSF will not be impressed by the MV 170 match HS win streak or foreign recruits who can't register for DA until U19, so unless the MV-coached OCDA teams make the playoffs this year, look for MV-backed OCDA to be put in Tier 2 of USSDA next year when USSF implements 2 Tier system

There you go again with the whining. Worst season so far for the OCDA and that has nothing to do with MV. Move on you had your turn , too bad for Johnny , that’s what you really mean .

Monteverdes arrogance actually makes Orlando city look humble. They are just a private school that has brought in tons of Africans. There are other private schools locally with superior education value. I would not send my kid there for school and I will wait to see how they end up handling the soccer outside of high school sports.
