When a player gets old enough for such recognition, it will be clear that they are good enough to play at that level. At that point, they must be put at a club with the right pipeline to put them on the NT. It could be WCFC or one of the others with the proper connection.
No one said that, you are projecting, to fit your self-serving reality. The original post was pure braggart, which is fine, WC is a good club, much better than say NYSC, and I say that Lumi comes over next year 100%.

Clubs and leagues did, do and will say that all the time and always will. Soccer marketing 101.

Doubt it. Players need a da affiliation to get put on the NTs with very very few exceptions.

Yes USSF has made that very clear. They gave a few ECNL slots for appearances but the message is loud and clear - do DA if you want to stay on track, doesn't matter if your local DA club is crap.

No it does not matter. They control the NT teams so they leverage that as best they can with some success.

The real deal talent come up with creative solutions to develop their talent with or without gda training but everyone understands what must be done if they want to play on the ussf teams.

Clubs are also notorious for "claiming" players when the player was there for a very short time. It's all a gimmick. Don't be fooled by these silly claims (same with college placement claims - it doesn't reflect what your particular player needs or will experience, and may not be fact based).
Ill bite. All this shows is that the WC environment is capable of developing players who others think can play at the next level. The U 20 player played at WC her whole youth career bar NYCFC at the end.

the good Clubs are not claiming anything more than i just said. There are not many one club players who end up playing at high levels and yet everyone is a star. Go figure.

When you go to a training camp who pays?!
If the player does it’s not very impressive if the federation does
                Hats off

It amazes me how so many people comment without knowing basic things. Of course the USSF pay.

It amazes me people can’t comprehend modern English or they lie to spare their ego. Transportation to the camp is on the player. So when they “go” to camp the USSF does not cover them.
                    Dude,really?
                    Been there done that.

Meanwhile they're sitting on $150M cash hoard. If they wanted to help keep soccer affordable they could at least give a partial stipend to help families with the cost.

Does it cost money to play for the DA?
                        Does ODP still exist inNY?

Unless you're at an MLS club (boys) or are lucky enough to get a very rare scholarship, yes it will cost you bigly. Scholarships don't cover costly travel either.

ODP is still around but very weak, especially past U14. Better players are in DA or ECNL by then.
They get better training and competition there, along with excellent college coach exposure

Its debatable if the GDA player gets better competition around here. For most teams its a weak regular schedule, followed by overwhelming opponents at national events, and we would know, as we have done this. I hate the ECNL and their country club atmosphere, but they do provide a better game-to-game schedule, which is always preferable to prepare the team for national events....

Gda is the same country club. Both these league pursue the identical high dollar customers. Way too expensive, way too much travel. The travel does not improve the soccer and it wastes the players time and money and excludes most at the outset. Too bad either exist. The players would be better off without either.

Not sure what camps your kid has been to, but it is not on the player. We have never paid a dime for anything.
