NYSC really isn't much better than OW. If you're going to do DA may as well just do whichever is closer to home.

If your kid is a girl then really there’s no benefit to going out of your way to further their career.

If your kid is a boy, opportunity will make itself known anywhere as long as you can get a EU or South American passport worked out by their 15th birthday. Gio Reyna didn’t move to California at 12.

Voting with their checkbooks is an absolutely true statement! So, is reserving a spot on a club with one as well. Premier today is a watered down business model that has flooded the market with inferior soccer. Taking more players that are less skilled helps clubs keep the lights on (no offense CFC dad). Your club might be the worst with all the sub group branches- and you can’t even get lights in Bethany.

Academy and nothing else! The rest is just parents desperately trying to believe that Jimmy and Jenny are better players than they really are and trying to brand their name in soccer circles with assorted logos and gear.

Agree with most of this except that girl’s academy is a joke around here. They aren’t getting the best players in the state, play in weak conference and the kids aren’t getting recruited to schools to the same level of their peers at the ECNL clubs.

There’s no exclusive team or club. CFC takes huge numbers, FSA has 3 teams at every level and Oakwood is hosting constant tryouts just to put warm bodies on some of their teams

Take that further - a supposed rock star around here may very well not be in another region. they might not even make a good team or ever be a starter. Uproot your lives to be player #15 on a somewhat better team? If you're asking about a 13 year old, odds are pretty good they may just be somewhat above average by age 17.

Come out back behind the gym. I’ll knock your block off sizzle chest.

Someone told me the reason ow didn’t pave the parking lot was to make it tougher on kids dribbling to theirs parents cars after practice. It was a developmental decision

It’s a shame they can’t afford turf, indoor or outdoor.

Paid for by raffle tickets. Yet another cost forced on the parents.

Would rather they had a better facility. All those years of my kid playing off boards.

All those years of your stupidity allowing your kid to play there

But they can't afford to maintain their facilities

and next year it will be off to another club who bids the highest for his daughter talents.
