Who is not allowing it? It's not a state mandated restriction. I know RDL and MLS RI teams are playing CT trams in CT.
CJSA is not allowing it. Under the state restrictions, RI teams could come in to play, as long as they don't remain more than 24 hours. No idea why CJSA chose to make it more restrictive.

CT. is allowing hockey and baseball teams from RI into the state. It would be nice to play teams from outside of CT.
Maybe CJSA is using the virus as an excuse not to play RI teams or travel outside of CT.

They most likely are. MLS and RDL RI teams have been playing in CT since summer. It is within the state guidelines, since the RI team do not stay in CT for more than 24 hrs.

We were happy to come to CT for games and even found a school in CT that was going to lease us their field so we could have our home games there. I think other clubs were figuring out similar arrangements. No CT team was going to have to cross the border into the stark COVID wasteland that greets people as they cross an invisible line on a map. CJSA is just flexing arbitrary power, and it hasn't just affected RI players, it's screwed up a lot of CT team schedules as well.

Yeah, thank god Covid only spreads if someone stays for longer than 24 hours.
Looks like RI came off the naughty list yesterday. Not sure how, unless CT has changed criteria for the list, but there's at least the possibility of some RI teams swarming CT this weekend to cram in as many games as possible. The only question remaining is, were RI clubs keeping an eye on this and prepared to take advantage, or is it too short notice to work out all the scheduling logistics?
