Why hasn't Hand entered the LL Tournament in the last 6 years? Every team can ask to play up a division. Do they just want to win Class L and complain each year that they are better than the LL schools? Play up, show it. Guilford, E.O. Smith, Farmington all L schools that entered the LL field when they knew they could compete.

Valid point. They would be a contender for LL (at least they would have been). Next year they lose a ton.

Because they have performed pretty well over the last 4 years and there is a ciac rule that should force them up based on said successes. More proof CIAC is a f%$#ing joke and Hand values sandbag winning over real competition. No respect for either.

Hand was scheduled to scrimmage Hall in preseason but CV regulations prohibiting it. Would have been interesting.

I thought that was only for "schools of choice" likeSt Joes with girls soccer?

You are only “forced” up by CIAC if you are a school of choice that has shown success. Hand could petition to play up, but this is the only year (over the last 4 years) that Hand has not lost or tied a game. Guilford also beat them in the SCC tournament last year. This year would have been the year to petition to play up, but with the pandemic and not knowing if the season was even going to happen, I’m sure it was not a priority, unfortunately.

Lost two starters to injuries including their top scorer.
