I have to agree with the above. Fsa 07’s will for sure beat the CFC team. But I’m going 3-1

At that age, you should be able to put some kid on the bench in who should be able to stop 3 of 10 shots. Factor in a kid shooting off target another 3 of 10. Sounds like the problem was they gave up way more than 10 shots. That’s not a goalie problem. When you can’t keep possession and can’t play defense, you give up double digits. I know town teams that wouldn’t give up 10 goals

The clubs added u14 tournament to the schedule and a u14 league. Cfc started by just having one branch be the ECNL league entrant. To help fill the roster when needed and help be more competitive, that team pulled in on occasion girls from other branch teams, using them as guest players, even fostering a few. Then it went to current model.

Stay woke! Don’t be like those idiots from Yankee and Oakwood who think they know the landscape.

Typical FSA. Park the bus and counter. Every team regularly outshot (especially late in the first and all 2nd half as they get tired of chasing). They lose on opportunities from corners usually substantially (if they get 1 or 2 corners per game they are lucky), shots, and SOGs. Even the SOGs are technically correct but usually weak from distance. Running 1 or 2 forwards/ wings by themselves on a long counter into 6 or 7 mids and defenders is just random and hapless. FSA have been doing this at every level in the girls side since S+ took over. It's embarrassing and hardly soccer and was the reason we moved our ECNL player. Seriously FSA parents. When you see an opponent that plays really nice soccer, don't you also find yourselves asking why not us? There are some talented players there but they just don't have a clue how to play and are never told how to or made to play that way. Out of 10nplayers on the field, the same 2 or 3 players get the majority of the 1 or 2 touches per possession and end up forcing a long pass through the middle of lots of defenders in the middle of the field or launching it to the other teams defenders .... Over and over and over. Other teams work hard to be patient and put together 5, 6, 7 or more passes on most possessions and FSA is happy when they complete 1 or 2. They also accept that they can do it against the few weaker teams than them at will (but can't and barely try against teams as athletic or just better than them). Notice the fatigue in every player after 25+ minutes and the futility of play in the 2nd halves? Leave as soon as possible. There are better places to learn the game.

FSA will dominate CFC this year for sure.

              U14 FSA wins easily
              U15 FSA wins easily
              U16 FSA wins easily
              U17 CFC wins
              U18 FSA wins easily

Just stating facts. FSA is better in all age groups except 2004

The best U13 CFC players are currently playing at the North branch. So they are most definitely not United this year at U13. Why isn’t that team playing the ECNL schedule anyway? Much better team than Arsenal and they play much better soccer too.

Thanks mom but your kid sucks that’s why she is on the branch team

I’ve seen both of these U13 CFC teams play and North is unquestionably better. Not a parent with a kid on any of these teams. CFC North Regional 2008 beat FSA ECNL 2-0 last weekend. Let’s see how the 2008 CFC “ECNL” team compares this weekend.

What do they feed those kids up north? A team of 12 year olds and half of them are 5’9”.

Things are looking up for CFC if they have 2 quality U13 teams. Next year will be an amazing U14 team when they merge together

Honestly. If your son or daughter are happy with the coach and the team they are on who cares? I think it’s great there are a bunch of very good options throughout the state to choose from. Soccer in CT is better than it has been in the past and clubs from all over CT are sending you men and women to college to play soccer.
