    So true.
Here is why I don’t think they will.
EVERYWHERE the virus has been, once it begins to spread, it does so for about 6 weeks, then it peaks and drops.
It was not grown exponentially ANYWHERE.
This is our “2nd wave” so in theory, we have less people to be susceptible to bad outcomes plus we already had widespread community spread in the spring.
We did not have adequate testing to know how severe.
In my estimation, we hit about 11-12%!if the population in the spring.
We will hit around 8% this go round.
Even with the high number of test now, we likely only find 1 in 6.
After this wave, we will have a steady drip of positives for a long time. It will be like we saw over the summer.
This wave will take 8 weeks to drop. End of Jan we will be back to lie numbers till next fall.

By and large the cases are coming from different areas -- more rural than urban. We have improved treatments now, but these areas are also ones with much more limited access to hospital beds. And, sadly, there are many more anti-masker and Trump followers in these areas. The bottom line is we should anticipate many more deaths than if this were a rerun of the urban/suburban crush last Spring. Small town hospitals and nursing homes are going to hit now -- anticipate substantial deaths. Yes, treatment is improved, but these folks will be slow to seek treatment as they have been told covid is fake and it did not hit their communities last Spring.

Biden is already falling apart. Broken foot from a fall he suffered playing with his dog, or so they say. Jill probably pushed him down the basement stairs.

He has osteoporosis, common to old man with low testosterone. The bones become brittle and the big bone doesn’t get up. I guess the one positive is he can’t rape anyone anymore

There are stories from hospitals in the Midwest of seriously ill patients who don't believe they have Covid. Can you ever change such a fool's mind? (if they survive).

The September 30 CDC report estimated that infection rate was 7x the positive test numbers nationally.
This would match up pretty well with your estimate above.
CT should be getting close to 20% and HIT as some theories suggests.
Will be interesting to see if that plays out.

Not the poster but we may never know given 1) how many are asymptomatic 2) how many can't get tested because of long waits 3) won't get tested because they don't think they have it or had a serious exposure. Also when it first blew up there basically was no testing. We're pretty certain one of our college kids and her boyfriend had it early March due to an exposure they had in a hot spot. They had all the classic symptoms, but couldn't get tested. We asked DDs doc about getting an antibody test before school started in the fall but the doc said by then most patients' antibodies have disappeared.

Its estimated that CT is at 14.7% infected or about 520K as of two weeks ago:

there are stories from one source- dont believe everything you hear

we have all had kids who have been hurt- they almost always say at one point "i cant believe this happened to me" they arent in denial they are just bummed at the bad turn of events

but they said it so they must not believe the diagnosis ,right?

There was the South Dakota nurses' social media post two weeks ago that went viral, but other healthcare workers say it's sadly too common with patients and their families. All the misinformation and conspiracy theories aren't helping. Even some politicians are skeptical. So are we surprised we're now in this disease vortex?

"MISSION, Kan. (AP) — Treating the sick and dying isn’t even the toughest part for nurse Amelia Montgomery as the coronavirus surges in her corner of red America.

It’s dealing with patients and relatives who don’t believe the virus is real, refuse to wear masks and demand treatments like hydroxychloroquine, which President Donald Trump has championed even though experts say it is not effective against the scourge that has killed over 210,000 in the U.S.

Montgomery finds herself, like so many other doctors and nurses, in a world where the politics of the crisis are complicating treatment efforts, with some people even resisting getting tested."

Excellent. We are heading for HIT quickly.

Come on Snowflake. I wouldn't worry too much about the Dakota's. Top 5 places in the world with most deaths/population. You should probably stay focused on the COVID mess made in these liberal places:

                          1) NJ
                          2) NY
                          3) MA
                          4) Belgium
                          5) CT
