I don't think I have ever seen an FSA college list before. I see OW and CFC constantly going at it but FSA stays silent. Quiet confidence is one thing but at some point a minimal level of marketing is in order. I was completely taken by surprise with that list.

Many are former S+ players. FSA will need to prove it has the goods with players they developed under the new banner.

Totally agree. Throwing a tremendous pipeline of youth talent and the best facilities in the region might wreck what S+ had going.

1. Think. 2. Type. 3. Re-read. 4. Re-think. 5. Send. In that order.

For the U18 rosters (and some U17s) if there is a name missing from this list does imply that they are still waiting on admissions letters? So the list would be expected to be updated again at the beginning of April? For the Ivies and D3s the only way for a name to be on this list is if they were Early Decision or Early Action applicants, right?

i'm thoroughly unimpressed with FSA's list. shouldn't all the names be D-1 players? isn't that what ECNL is about? why play ECNL if you're going to go to assumption, central, uni of new haven, and roger williams?

The point is going to a school that fits your goals and preferences. It's not about playing soccer, or shouldn't be. Soccer is a part of the picture, what that picture looks like is up to each girl.

Why play ECNL? Because you love soccer. Because you're looking for a challenge. Because you seek top training and competition. And not because you're trying to impress some self-proclaimed soccer oracle typing on TS.

once again the hypocrisy… at one end, "ECNL is the only way to get seen" on the other end, " it's for the love of the game and the challenge."

everyone outside of ECNL should just quit soccer…

How is it hypocrisy if one person is in it to "get seen" and another person is in it "for the love of the game"? In fact, why would it be hypocrisy if the same person were in it for both reasons? You may not be fully acquainted with the definition of hypocrisy. While you have a dictionary open, try "jealousy" as well.

That's OK though. The other guy, Mr. Unimpressed, is much bigger diick. If he's focused on getting money out of a soccer investment it looks like 10 of the FSA kids and 10 of the CFC kids are headed to schools that give money. If he's focused on education, it's kind of hard to argue with going for an MIT, Brown, Johns Hopkins, Dartmouth or Amherst. Their payoff comes later. If he's looking for a top 25 soccer school, well, what can we tell him? This is CT. It happens every few years.
