So their entire highschool experience is playing Rec soccer JV in their local high school uniform in front of their parents?
    Sad.
How about having more LIFE experiences?

We know what high school experience and LIFE you had. A real loner/blubbering loser and you did so well in school! Was 'going to' continue your education but didn't have the inner drive. True, a 2.3 GPA didn't get you many options.
Anyway, isn't it time to get your greeter badge/uniform out and get back to work? Got to get ready for the Memorial Day store-wide sale! You can 'blog' again after swing shift.

Some will choose HS and multiple sports balance. Some serious soccer only players will choose Academy. Most girls that want to excel at any sport narrow it down to one sport during high school. The California players that are already way better than Oregon girls are almost all soccer only and many don't play HS soccer either. This is the way it is now. Too many top athletes specialize now. Specialize or get left further in the dust. That goes for basketball, volleyball, track and everything else.

Mallory Pugh played high school soccer.
Ashley Sanchez is playing high school soccer.

But I guess the Oregon girls are too elite to do what underachievers like Pugh and Sanchez did.

Nearly all the current ECNL girls went GDA and those who were cut in split age groups went to ECNL.

Mallory Pugh didn't have GDA. Across the country, many of the best players are going GDA and giving up HS soccer and other sports in order to advance to the highest levels of soccer. Mallory Pugh just skipped college to go pro. Bet Mallory would've given up HS for GDA if she was starting HS now.

Don't tell that to the parents of girls playing for Thorns. They all think they are the best. Just let them continue thinking that. Thorns GDA teams are probably 3rd-4th best team in state at each age level. That's not terrible.

                    You don't like the parents.
                    You don't like the Thorns.
You didn't like the Thorns Academy.
You don't like the brand new Thorns GDA.
You think, somehow, that you are the ultimate expert on Thorns GDA teams even though you, just like the rest of us, haven't seen these brand new teams play.

What is your club or high school affiliation?

Stop. Just stop. You have absolutely no idea what the "best players across the country" are doing. You have absolutely no idea what Mallory Pugh would have done had GDA been around when she was coming up. I think we can safely say that she wouldn't have let a program's cost dictate her choice, and she wouldn't have chosen a program based on the wisdom of an anonymous poster in Oregon who claims to know what "many of the best players" are doing.

Yes I'll say that again -22 goal differential.

The older you go the worse it is.

Now, why are you so concerned with GDA or whoever when you are an embarrassment already.
Just looked it up. Ouch! Reign Academy made 31 goals and was scored on 6 times. CU made 15 goals and were scored on 37 times.

Both CU and FCP tied in point standings st .64. Boasting which one finished in 4th or 5th is nothing to be boasting about. They finished exactly the same in points and W/L/T. Basically both programs are last and equal in where they stand. This weekend should be interesting when the Wa girls come down. Two weekends in a row of a beating.

No not terrible. Pretty good. Not great though.

Yes but we are using ECNL scoring metrics that we all agreed to follow. In the fight for the cellar both teams had an equal record, however CU scored more goals so they came out on top. Weird to argue over this as both records are horrible. FCP's is just a little more so.

I feel like singing 'Don't cry for me Argentina' as if we had just scored one more goal against CU we wouldn't be the cella dwella! One hit the cross bar in the 44th minute during that 2nd game loss dammit.
