We tied the 08 Pre-Academy today with no subs. They had a full team. Why is the 08 Pre Academy so bad? Some say its the coaching, I hear others say that its because they have some players that dont belong on that team. whats the deal?

listen, im going to let u in a secret, pre-academy is a testing ground, guys they think may be academy players in the future, also, its the place they place kids with clout, those that have influence and wealth. although, they are one or two kids every year that may move up, most will stay right there, on the fringe.
also, u11 is an age where a couple of months of development can make a white level player, and academy level player pretty easily.
coach marcelo is a good guy, but he has a ton of dead weight on that team that he cannot move for one reason or another.
keep playing hard and your son will move up the ladder.
pre-academy is no more than a staging ground for testing and development.
beat the academy team and then you have something to brag about, those kids have special level of talent.

Dead weight
Yeah the dead weight is because their parents are coaches in the club, we played with these kids in the past my son should be on that team.

Look at the older teams. The majority did not come from any sort of pre academy team. They come from outside clubs.
Pre academy is a scam.

Players are developed at other clubs, go to DA ID camps and then put on DA teams if they’re good enough. That’s the system.
That said, there is always a realistic possibility that ONE or TWO (or three) pre-DA kids gets time w/ the DA either as a part-time player or full-time. This can and does happen regularly from my experience. However, to say that "the majority" of pre-DA should be moving up is very naive and shows you do not understand what a club's mandate is under the DA program. The mandate is to get the best, and while there are lots of bad teams out there, there are many, many instances of one or two very good players on those bad teams.

Scores mean nothing. How do you know their coach didn’t give specific instructions to work on a particular topic? I bet player for player, ‘08 Pre is far more technically & tactically superior to the white team. Why is a Weston parent on tearing their own club up? What a loser!
