There’s no more than 25 rostered per team X $2,125 fees X 4 teams. That’s only $212,500 fees collected not $240,000. Big difference.

They should set aside some money to give raises to the Portland Thorns players. There was a news story in the Oregonian about how players had to take second jobs to make ends meet. At the time I think some players were getting paid $7,000 per year. Just an opinion but I do think it would be fair.

Paulson is a franchise owner to his parent company, the MLS, who dictate all the salaries of franchise MLS teams. Even though this is American, the MLS is a socialist, single entity model. Sorry you didn’t know this fact. No interview needed, it’s out of his control. Ask the MLS.

Posting that stuff only shows that you aren't caught up on the modern game - non-profits from Portland to Medford should feel privileged to overpay Peregrine.

If the female players were as good as the male players they would be able to make the men's team and be paid as much as the men. As it is, no woman has ever made a senior mens soccer team.

Some professional american women are as good as 13 & 14 yr old boys american boys, how much does the elite boy make in the US? Maybe that should be a starting point?

With that said, maybe women getting paid is really unfair given their abilities?
