On the boys side they have nothing above 2006. And by nothing I literally mean no 2005 team, no 2004 team, two D6 2003 teams, no 2002 team, a bottom 2001 team, no 1999/2000 team. And even the 2006 lost over half it's players this tryout season.

On the girls side they have teams in most age groups, unfortunately the best one they had just jumped to Smithtown to become their NPL team. The rest are intermediate at best.

The 2004 team is the best team they have on girls side, they're playing for Smithtown now?

Why did they switch to play NPL for Smithtown instead of Brentwood?

Sachem trainers work for Smithtown, not Brentwood.

The NE NPL league is a significant increase in travel over the NYCSL NPL league. However, not sure the competition level is any increase.

It's not, if anything the level of competition would decrease. Granted PDA and Stars teams are usually very good and maybe another strong team in one or 2 age groups, but that's about it.

It's a moot point. Lips brought the Sachem team to Smithtown because Smithtown had a hole to fill in it's NPL program.

There is zero incentive for Lips to bring a Sachem team to a club that Lips has absolutely no connect with like Brentwood.

Is this 2004 team the Sachem team or the KK team?

Town of Smithtown is going to audit this. 75% resident requirement in Smithtown. Club is putting their permits at risk.

VOB Village of the Branch takes teams no matter where they are from. I know of a girls team that came from Commack who is U11. So there's a few teams not from Smithtown there

Commack is 75% in the town of Smithtown (small part is Huntington) who owns those fields. Any taxpayer in the TOWN of Smithtown is eligible.

Smithtown and VOB don't have exclusive use of those fields. Any club in Smithtown can apply for permits. Kings Park could play there if they wanted to.

Smithtown plays under East Meadow in US Club which is an additional issue and people are steeped that a whole Sachem team just came over from Brookhaven. Lips doesn't even live in Smithtown and thinks he can put anyone on that field.

I heard one person not with either club is planning on hitting the town with a FOIL request on this issue. Not sure of their motivation but there is a lot of chatter up there on the permit and use issues from many people in the area.

LIPPS was born and raised in Smithtown. He might still have a residence there

Sounds like underhanded tactics to cause trouble for competition that's making positive moves for LI soccer, its such typical BS
