Does anyone have any insight about what's going on with Seattle Celtic? We had ok experiences there when the club was smaller but the last couple of years have been very bad - the club is incredibly disorganized, coaches carry too many teams, and there seems to be no overall development plan. Parents are getting virtually no feedback on how players are doing or what they need to do to get better. Over the last couple of seasons, more than a handful of parents have complained that some coaches have blown off doing player evaluations entirely.
We stuck around because the DC kept promising that there was a big picture plan for player development, but we've come to understand that there is no plan except to pay attention to the 1st tier teams and use the other tiered teams as a dysfunctional minor league system. It's been hard to form friendships on teams because the lower level teams keep shuffling and there is so much turnover. This season, the coach just stopped answering emails.
The program has exploded in size but getting bigger seems to be accentuating the club's bad qualities. And the soccer is...well, it's not great. For the last couple of years, the DC is bringing in kids from Ireland to coach who have fancy UESA licenses but very little actual coaching experience or understanding that part of coaching is learning how to manage kids.
