Not true - daughter played for oakwood until going to college, never once went to camp. Again it is choice, not sure why you think it is obligation?

You all are arguing over a few hundred $. It's all expensive no matter how you slice it. For the typical middle or upper income family (that make up the vast majority) saving a few hundred dollars isn't going to be a big decision factor. It's going to come down to the coaching, fit etc.
