Whatever the US does that works should be scrapped!!!!
Find out what losing countries are doing and implement that, stat.
Oh the losing countries are birth year. Lets do that now. Maybe we will achieve the same level of success those other countries achieved. That would be fantastic. "Lose the world cup" will be the chant in the stands.

If Bayern wins 5-1, but possession is only 49% / 51% then they in fact lost. The real experts only want to see possession. Winning is short sighted, especially in the World Cup or Uefa champions league or any of the European leagues like the EPL.
Anyone can win those leagues. My 40-50 year old indoor team could win the Premier League. But we can't possess the ball like some of the top teams in Europe. That's what keeps us up at night.

Winning is losing. Losing is the real winning. Losing is development. Possession is victory.

The US women are not doing it better than the men. Half of all the female soccer players in the world play in the US. With that numbers advantage, the US women should be dominating everybody. I'm talking '92 men's Olympic basketball type domination. They're just not that dominant year in year out.
Everything that's being implemented to improve the men's side will ultimately improve the women's side as well. Just because the bar is lower in women's soccer doesn't mean we shouldn't make efforts to make the US women better.

This is a positive change that we needed. Goals are a distraction. I wish they would have went a step further and banned goals all together. Not brave enough like the rest of the world.
