I thought Vancouver did not have their own RTC because numbers were so low last year, they had to merge with Portland and create a North Portland RTC?

This year, the tricked more parents into going to tryouts. Quality was very, very low but they took everyone anyway. Now the focus is on sending and chasing long balls.

Doesn't matter. They take everybody with money. Timbers need money. If your kid is already at a top club then the training is a waste of time. If your kid is at WashT, the training is a waste of time as it's the same WashT coaches. If you're kid is at a small neighborhood club with mom and dad coaches, then MAYBE the training will be better at RTC, but that's not a given.

It's no secret that RTC (& even ODP at the younger ages)is a huge money grab and the talent is certainly not all elite level but can be fun - same as all those college summer "elite" junior residential camps. Enjoy it for what it is or don't. No harm either way.

Can anyone list the prior and current girls U.S. Youth or Adult National team members who grew up in Oregon. NOT pool players but any girls who actually made the final 18 player roster and if they played in any games or not? I know Tiffany Milbrett, of course, but there must be others??

                            Make So Much Money!

I'm so tired of hearing how the Timbers are fleecing Oregon soccer! - RTC cost $420

                            1) The athletes get 16-18 trainings
                            2) They get to meet with a sports psychologist
                            3) They give the kids $150-$200 worth of gear
                            4) They pay the coaches and directors
                            3) They rent fields for practice and for their spring break tournament.

They must have sooo much money left over. They must be getting rich!!

                            Get over yourself!!
