Almost no American media pays any attention to him or international soccer. Who's to turn on him?

      Stupid.

Talking heads say stupid sh1t to get clicks and attention.

Pulisic is s very good player. He is surrounded by mostly average players. He’s not good enough to take over games against a side like Mexico.

GB wants to play in a style that does not fit the players skill sets.

Pulisic didn't play bad or great really. I will say this. To play possession style for an international team is very difficult. Only a few teams actually even try it. Argentina, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands are the few who have tried and done it successfully. Most teams including France, Uruguay, Iceland, and many others simply sit back and play the counter. It is much easier to organize like this when dealing with players who don't often play together.

I still think at this point is is worth trying but it was pretty obvious against Mexico that when Mexico pressed they had trouble getting out and when Mexico backed up their possession and build up was too slow. US doesn't have enough dribblers or tiki-taka sort of players to break down a side that sits in.

So they struggle to score right now against almost everyone. But you can look to see how they played in the far past and that will be difficult now as well. Not sure what they USMNT will do but they simply need to improve their passing skills.

That said, Tim Ream at centerback looked very good against Uruguay.
