Did you participate, how was your experience?
I have avoided this tournament traditionally but I got talked into it this year. My sample is small I was only aware of a few happenings across a few teams and I had a player that ref'd a number of games.
I did hear a U13 Championship game was warned by the field marshal if the parents couldn't chill the game would be cancelled and declared a forfeit.
I think all championship games were at Cook Park and I did like that they did awards, pictures, etc. Unlike LO Nike Cup that gave you your stuff in a grocery bag with a slap on the back.
No food at Cook Park. Or any other venue I was at. Other than Dippin Dots. I think letting a few food trucks know would take care of the problem.
I did notice a few late arrivals to the tournament scene signing up for their first tournament. And/or some "new" TTL teams. Just looking at scores and names, maybe some smaller community clubs moving from rec to TTL. I think those kinds of teams really need to hit the bigger tournaments to ensure they are getting in a real Bronze bracket. Because when you go to a tourney like this, you'll have combined brackets and you may end up with some lopsided matches. Just say'n.....
