Definitely a TS rumor. Just say it enough times it will be true. You are like a side show psychic. "i can sense that you have lost someone in your life". Of course you will find an example and claim you knew it all along.

Coaches leave and new coaches come. Quality programs like RUSH will survive with new coaching and hopefully the coach that left is moving to something bigger and better.

Everyone knows John S is the straw that stirs the drink in Wilton. Prince was a very good coach and John made him an excellent coach. Really though, John has developed a lot of coaches

What has this club or JS ever done developing players? If they were such good coaches players would stay with them past U13.

Rush can't give them the stronger competition that ECNL or DA offers or the college exposure. Usually their teams only have a few players that can make the next step up. But all it takes is those few top players leaving for a team to fall apart. Rush isn't alone in this issue. If you aspire to play in college by and large you need to move up the ladder by high school. Prince had a good 03 team, mostly rising juniors, but no doubt those players aren't getting the same looks that players at OW, CFC or even FSA get (looks, not offers).

JS doesn’t develop any coach or player. He gives coaches a platform then gets greedy and screws them. I’ve never heard of Salvatore doing any coaching development, the only thing he can take credit for is getting good guys in a program and making money.

Good one John. Prince is a good coach and his departure will definitely hurt Rush. The Wilton branch is still going to press on but they have work to do. The Watertown branch is an absolute dumpster fire. The teams out of there are poor and there are only a few left. The Guilford Branch seems to be holding steady but nothing special. When you are a club that has 3 branches and 2 of them lose their DOC then you definitely have a problem.

Players, coaches and families are just a means to an end for JS. People figure this out fairly quickly and when they realize they are just cannon fodder for his money making machine they move on. Sometimes it’s voluntary sometimes it’s not. This is why his ventures over the years don’t last and he has to recreate something different.

They have good people overseeing the Southwest Branch. I have only heard good things since PO departure. It was the right time for him to leave and start a new challenge. Everyone around the club new it was coming. JS has given a lot of coaches the opportunity to build something with Rush. The club will continue to grow.

They all operate as separate entities except for regional program which is best of each age group. Not a big loss in our opinion. Never saw Prince last three years. We are at SW, but will say that the shoreline branch is twice the size of wilton branch

last two posts are so typical - Tush is great, great coaches thanks to JS, Prince won't be missed...

Sometimes a great coach is not a great director.

Nor are former players good coaches or directors

You do realize that Prince is the one that built the Wilton branch and directed it not Salvatore. He is the one that also ran the club for many years and he probably left because he was fed up with Salvatore getting involved

No doubt that Prince was an important piece to the Rush puzzle and he is a loss for sure. But they still have quality coaches in place and will survive for now. The bigger problem still remains that important people continue to leave or are forced out. My understanding is that Prince was in a position where he had to leave and that is unfortunate but he has a good opportunity now with a club that will now be in direct competition with Rush. Strategically a very bad move on JS’s part. He already has a huge target on his back in Wilton and this makes things much more difficult. It will be very interesting to see how he navigates this one. I personally see Rush losing ground here and AC Connecticut is the big winner.
