Most women who have abortions (and the fathers and grandparents) may regret the decision and think of the unborn child every day until they die. The child who may have never had a chance to live on this Earth will go to heaven at God's merciful hand.
Excellent and profound point and I agree 100% but the discussion is about the child who has already been brought into this world. If your a Democrat, call your congressperson and tell them
    Infanticide is wrong!!

Only 8 states allow an abortion up to birth, but it is very rare. While most of those states do restrict abortions in the third trimester, many also allow exceptions for late-term abortions, including for unborn babies with fatal anomalies or for the “health” of the mother.

"Among the states that have no abortion limits, so far only Colorado and New Mexico have clinics that will perform abortions up to 32 weeks and later on a “case by case basis.” Those clinics are the Warren Hern’s Boulder Abortion Clinic in Boulder, Colorado, and Curtis Boyd’s Southwestern Women’s Options in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which The Christian Post has reported on in the past (here and here).

Other clinics in states with unrestrictive abortion limits have set their own caps. A clinic in New Jersey performs abortions up to 25 weeks, Oregon at 24 weeks, New Hampshire up to 17 weeks, and Alaska and Vermont up to 16 weeks, Operation Rescue has found.

At least one clinic in Washington, D.C., offers abortions up to 27 weeks.

In New York, which has 87 abortion clinics according to Operation Rescue’s 2018 clinic survey, 60 only perform abortions up to 14 weeks gestation. “There were 17 clinics that limited abortions to 23 weeks or under. Ten clinics were willing to abort through 24 weeks, or the end of the sixth month of pregnancy,” the organization noted.

The good news is that fewer abortion businesses are aborting late-term unborn babies. According to a survey conducted by Operation Rescue: “In 2016, there were 164 abortion facilities that conducted abortions at 20 weeks or later — 31 more than 2018. This represents an impressive 19 percent reduction in the number of very-late-term abortion facilities over just the past two years.”

Polls consistently show that a strong majority of Americans oppose late-term abortions. According to a national poll conducted by Marist University, three in four Americans (75 percent) say abortion should be limited to – at most – the first three months of pregnancy. This includes most Republicans (92 percent), Independents (78 percent) and a majority of Democrats (60 percent). It also includes more than six in 10 (61 percent) who identify as “pro-choice” on abortion."

Ironic since no doubt Trump paid for a few abortions over the years.

Only one percent of all abortions are after 20 weeks. The right loves to use the terminology to make it sound like babies are being ripped out of uteruses when in fact it's done because either the fetus isn't viable, genetic testing reveals horrible conditions, or the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother. When you include those exceptions in surveys most support abortion. Amniocentesis isn't done until 16 weeks and most women get their fist ultra sound until about 18 weeks. if something comes up with those tests then additional testing can take additional time. Other conditions can come up well past 20+ weeks. Women just don't change their minds at 25 weeks. if they wanted an abortion they do it well under 20 weeks and in fact 90% of all abortions are done in the first trimester

If the right wants to reduce abortions, then make birth control free and easily accessible to all. Colorado made that decision and saw a 40% reduction in unwanted pregnancies and abortions. They also saw a huge reduction in social service costs resulting from fewer unplanned pregnancies and children. But of course they won't go for such common sense solutions. They think shutting down Planned Parenthood and abstinence instruction will do the trick. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/co...control-facts/

Exactly. The republicans want to make it look like everyone else are for infantcide and are baby killers when that is not the case. A republican may be faced with a situation where a mother's or daughter's health or the baby's health are at severe risks, and will they have to make a hard decision like many have had to do.
