But there have been a few players come out of there in the last few years. I just don't know their names because I don't pay an attention to it enough. Truthfully, who does?
Rarely? More like never. Sure they've had players play club all over the place, but the reality is, no one has come out of there in the last 10 years, let alone the last couple.

3 more CT kids committed to Power 5 schools for 2020. Little ole CT is doing just fine.

Who cares, that’s not the point. The point was being argued that no scholarships are good for 4 years and that’s simply not true. In addition, stop saying PAC 5, it makes you sound stupid.

Assumes all 3 are on scholarship. May not be a valid assumption.

for 2019s I agree- those are late (real late) additions to a D! roster- that class was done for most schools last year, some even earlier

See how many starts and PT they get and that's a good indication of where they stand on the totem pole

the bigwigs here just don't like Danbury or the area in general. The big boys have never managed to get a hold there and now that ACC has some sort of footing in the area, anything associated with Danbury will be negative. with that aside, they just haven't produced any players worth talking about or that can make a difference on a college team.

Stay with us, kids are already on rosters. Committed well over 18 months ago.

Not one scholarship in entire country is good for 4 years.

All of them are. Coaches cannot take scholarships away for being a bad player. They need to get in trouble to lose scholarships

Are other FCIAC standout athletes getting meaningful minutes as juniors or seniors in college?"

I won’t dignify the trolls with initials, but your list is about 30% complete and at least 50% misleading. You call for junior/seniors, but list a redshirt freshman. You’ve missed at least one big name from STJ’s and one of your entries has played anything BUT significant minutes in her time at uni.

In addition, off the top of my head I can think of 2 from DANBURY, 2 from Wilton, 4 from Ridgefield, and 1 from Darien - all JRs Srs and all getting significant minutes. That matches your list in #.
KJ from Ridgefield - junior starter at U Chicago
ND from Westhill - junior starter at Temple
LS from SJ - junior at Sacred Heart
JM from SJ - senior at Quinnipiac

Not true. Power 5 conferences are guaranteed for 4. There you can't lose your athletic $ for lack of performance. Just about anywhere else your contract is renewed every year. If you're performing, doing fine in school, no behavioral issues, it won't be an issue. If you're not performing you probably aren't playing and the coach will either directly or indirectly tell you it's time to go. Players not getting any substantial athletic $ are the ones more at risk - if a coach isn't giving you much it means he doesn't have as much confidence in you. You can change that perception by outperforming expectations and possibly even earn more $ (which is an advantage of one year deals). Between quitting, getting cut, injuries and burnout the odds of playing all four years isn't great. If getting athletic $ is the only way you can afford a school you better have a backup plan in case something happens.

JM who plays at Quinnipiac went to Warde.

Looking 3-4 years later, the accolades in HS do not match up with college. It is highly political.Pull out the All region, All State, AAA, GA and see if they align

*JM Her stats in a mid range AAC college are pretty telling that the perceived greatness was a lot more talk than reality.
                              *CL’s mid range AAC soccer.

why would they? HS awards are for performance in HS not college
just like good college players don't always do well in the pros (football comp)
