Good for him for standing up and speaking out. It is hard to do as it can cause a lot problems for your child. But it lo demonstrates courage to his child. Good job!

Kids that age are brutal with teasing and bullying. Anything that makes you different is a target. In my school, the Italian kid was the first to get body hair. The other kids were merciless in the locker room. I know it doesn't fit with the current PC times, but in my day there was one answer. You take the leader of the taunters out back for a little "chat".
