Barca Pro vs. SUSA FC: Where will the first game be played?

Since the summer of ‘17 each club has detailed their march toward their own soccer facility here on Long Island. With attorneys at town meetings, puff pieces in NY Newsday, and each club’s minions flooding the chat forums with fact & fiction only one question really matters. Where will the first match be played - Kings Park or Central Islip?

I think your referring to the winter indoor facility the college is building at CW Post. Valencia trains/plays on their grass fields already.

Sour grapes by Barca? Yeah right. All of a sudden BOTN is saying an Oct start for Susa and now we have a poll. I wonder what the odds are that Glen and Mousa are following the results.

I think if Susa gets there show going it has to hurt The Barca parent who travels to Nassau for training. If Barca gets Kings Park off the ground it’s going to hurt the Nassau parent who then has to leg it out to Suffolk.

Field or no field Barca training is a million times better then anything Susa has.

dumb poll, but fun nonetheless. you should have termed it who will play at their planned facility first? not where will the first game be played. they already played their 'first' games. duh?

I think Bad Business decision (huge gamble) for susa to build the facilities....With all these foreign super clubs establishing NY roots like valencia, barca, bayern-Munich, PSG to name a few.

Not sure who would want to join susa 3-5 years from now. KK/Atletico used to be big as well and now... nothing (of course with the exception of a few strong teams).

We have insight already of what private investors disguised as a soccer superpower academy is with the Boca Juinior/Juventus experiment. They came in with a bang, had huge turnouts at their tryouts and fielded a bunch of teams. People were paying 3-4x’s more in tuition then the local club that they came from and it was worth it during those exciting first few years. Eventually though people figure out that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

From an operations standpoint does Barca Cost more to operate then Susa?

IMO, these new foreign academies make out like fat rats with the U12 and under crowd. Research already shows that players are leaving the sport as they get older.
