Have to weigh in on this discussion. My kid played with a couple of kids who went to Williams. Smart kids for sure but hardly the soccer world beaters that this parent wants to project. They generally had injury issues combined with a suspect work ethic so by the time they got to their Jr year they had fallen way behind what their trajectory looked like when they were 12-13 years old. My observation is this is usually the case when kids end up at the D3 level and the reality is their brains bails them out rather than soccer.

There are actually less of them out there than D1 soccer scholarships. If you are talking about getting into one of the elite D3's, those sorts of grades would get them into a lot of fine D1 academic institutions and the argument could be made that making soccer such a focal point in the decision actually limited their academic choices.

It looks like there are about 3 tips and 1 protect annually for Williams soccer. The tops would not get in without the tip. The protect might.

Get a grip. It’s D3 soccer and you are posting scores like it’s an ESPN update. No one cares......

Both were smart kids and good for the level with impressive accolades but they just aren’t good enough to play at a higher level. Part of the issue is a lack of high end speed but another issue is they didn’t work hard enough to perfect their technique and speed of play. They are good for where they’re at, certainly not the world beaters you are implying they are.
