Truth is that many people feel deceived... we were told that we needed to do X, Y & Z to flatten the curve. We did. The curve has been flattened. As a reward, Baker & Co. give us daily threats that they will take over our backyards by force if need be. So, f*ck it man.

You must have misunderstood. The reward for flattening the curve was to not overwhelm the hospitals so that every patient would be given adequate care, treatment, and equipment to beat the virus. That was done pretty well, but we have since learned that the virus is primarily an aerosol spread, hence the need for masks & distancing to reduce exposure. As we learn more about the virus, other things do change as well, such as treatment, PPE, recovery, etc. So for those that say the gov't didn't recommend mask wearing in March, remember things change as we get new information. Also, they were trying to preserve the N95s and surgical masks for the front line workers.

Can both sides be right or both sides be wrong at the same time. Maybe there is a middle ground. Why does every these days have to jump to the extreme!!!

I understand all that, but the “let’s save the masks for the frontline workers” was a huge mistake and frankly shows how clueless our leaders were and to a certain extent still are. Many countries all over the world did NOT have adequate mask supplies yet they mandated their citizens use anything they could come up with... the message was clear from day one: cover your face! Look into what the Czech Republic did if you doubt me. So yeah, big mistake that cost people’s lives... Dr.Fauci who is the nations God, himself said masks are useless. Come on now.

This. Not only that, but tbere is zero proof that this is spreading because of no social distancing/mask wearing in public. All the contact tracing has shown is that people are starting to gather in groups privately, especially younger people, and aren’t takong precautions in those groups. Guess what? Most of the young people aren’t affected, just because they test positive doesn’t mean they are “ill”. It does mean they may spread it, but that was always going to happen...

Remeber flatten the curve? When did the metric to reopening become “change the curve to a reverse slant”? Moving goal posts...

We can't even get a majority of the country to wear masks now. What makes you think more people would have warn masks in March when the cases and death reports were so small. We were selfish then and we are selfish now.

If our experts and leaders passed the message that masks weren't necessary or worth it then why would people believe them now? Don't give me this bullsh*t that now we know more about the virus! People all over the world were wearing masks when Fauci & Co. was telling us they weren't necessary.

Personally I was wearing a mask before Baker mandated it.

Also... people in MA have been some of the best at wearing masks, yet one of the worst states in number of deaths per capita. Who's fault is that? The "selfish" guy?

High daily infection rate was March & April, well before we became awesome at wearing masks. High daily death rates soon followed.

This will be over by November 4th. There will be a miracle cure, or an admission that the numbers were reported incorrectly, and the death rate were not all from COVID-19.

Sorry to everyone who lost their jobs, homes and businesses. Our Bad.

Unless "they wrong guy" wins. Then we'll be locked down again, power will be shut off, anything to cause more damage and uncertainty.

and here is the problem, mankind is so arrogant that it thinks it can control a virus.
                              Utter arrogance

many of the earlier deaths were in nursing homes like the horror show at the VA hospital. No general mask wearing back then and workers bringing it in to the homes. We've learned a lot since then. The decision not to recommend masks was to preserve badly needed supplies of medical grade masks, but the public should have been told to wear something. There is no one magic bullet to any of this. Its all the elements added up that make a difference
