Pretty sure FCP ECNL is doing some winning, let us know when the thorns start adding age brackets.

I'm sure the Timbers understand the market better than the ECNL crowd. The market isn't big enough to carry two ECNL teams.
If the girls side (this includes the whacko girls parents) were to carbon copy the boys side then you would have some success....the boys DA side is a success and is proven to place kids at the next level...it is a true funnel that works in line with US Youth Soccer....

The only thing that has changed is the already weak OPL U14 division is even weaker with the better THUSC, FC and LO players moving to their ECNL teams. If FC and LO were getting relegated last year, they would be demolished this year in a combined league. Medford and Eugene are significantly better than any team except Salmon Creek in the OPL.
From here on out, once the FC, THUSC and Crossfire girls teams reach the U14 age group their best players will drop out of the local state leagues for the ECNL. Beginning with this age group and younger age groups moving forward, if you stay in the OPL you are playing in a 2nd tier league. ECNL will destroy the OPL above the U14 age group moving forward.
Sad to say, but this is the truth.

Talent will go towards those clubs more often than not, even if your not going to be in ECNL, those clubs will attract more talent simply because they will be stronger with more opportunities. Your argument does not pan out when you look at just about avery club that has gotten an ECNL bid. Those players that will be talented but maybe not playing in ECNL, (ECNL reserve) will be playing in OPL. Good luck with your academy, but it's just not as strong as ECNL. OYSA days are numbered as far as girls soccer in oregon.

Listen, go back to your "elite" teams and leave the local discussion to clubs who actually are trying to work with the rest of the kids.
Everyone knows you care only about the top 1% of players. At least be honest about it.
