The fact is that the FCIAC cannibalizes itself in the early rounds. If well spread out, there could be 3-4 teams that could make runs

Hate to tell you this but the FCIAC has talent on both sides of the bracket pretty much guarantees 2 make it to the semis staple RHS NC and Stjs

Wouldn’t be shocked if Darien or Wilton made semis either. Newington and Glastonbury are no juggernauts. A lot of good competitive games to be played. Should be fun!

The 4th-6th FCIAC teams could still smoke any team from any other conference. Being ranked 1st in these other conferences is meaningless based on the inferior competition.

Relax Freshman Dad. Kids have to get out of school early and then travel an hour plus to someone’s home field. If that team scores first your season is over. That’s girls soccer. Goals go in, heads go down. No one cares who you played!

New Canaan has one of the easiest draws to the semis in the tournament.

Obviously New Canaan does play some tough competition at the top of the conference but the bottom half leaves a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong I definitely think New Canaan can make it by Cheshire or Southington too but both of them don't allow a lot of goals. So may not be as easy as we all think.

NC is mid-tier in FCIAC. They can't beat any of the big 3 top teams. They tied Ridgefield but that game was weather-impacted. So it will be interesting to see where they stack up against non-FCIAC teams. Today won't be hard, but Cheshire will give them a fight.

they aren't great soccer players but they are athletes and they are fast up top
