Smoke em while you got em. lol. You think they’re going to hire a D2 Women’s coach to take over one of the better mens jobs in the country (in terms of potential and what it used to be)?

Been a HC for awhile, won a national title and he's local. But knowing UCONN they'll just hire the AC because it's easy

Yes, have one good year at UB a long time back and then nothing .... not sure you get to jump right to mid-tier D1 under those circumstances given UBs performance last few years.

Clearly someone who doesn’t know the mens game. UConn is hardly a mid tier program on the mens side. Mid tier the last few years yes, but still lead the nation in attendance and have a brand new stadium. This is a top tier job. MN is a very good coach on the womens side, but they aren’t looking to hire a woman’s coach. UB did make the NCAAs this year I believe though and has made it many many times so no need to belittle him.

Talk a tough game don't you, dummy? Sorry that your Alma mater now blows. UConn is the definition of midtier. Midtier conference and midtier program over the last 10 years. Even when they had a lot of wins in the regular season and made the ncaas they bowed out early. Don't let history get in the way of where they are now .... And their are plenty of mens programs with far more history that could push UConn below midtier if you want to play that game.

You’re way off base saying mid-tier conference. The Big East is behind only the ACC in terms of # of teams in the Top 50 RPI. Please have facts before going on a tirade.

PS - Big East lighting up the top 25: https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/soccer...ens-soccer-rpi. Conference USA and MAC have as many teams! GTFOH!

Lose an argument, claim someone never played or insult them; clearly a lib. Good luck stupid. You were wrong. Next time, and I bet there are plenty, be a man and admit it! What is so wrong with that?

College sports ebb and flo. Before Saban, Alabama was in a horrid run after having had tons of success in the past. Past success means the potential is there for someone to have it again. That’s what makes a top tier job, not necessarily where a program is right now. And that’s what makes UConn a top tier job. The key will be finding the right coach to bring it back from the dead.
